We are an LGBTQ family group offering conversation for parents and free child care for children 6 months and older. Parents of children 0-5 years meet on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10-12 and parents of 5-10 year olds meet on the 3rd Saturday from 3:45-5:45pm. Both meet at the LGBT Center at 1800 Market Street in San Francisco. .

About the Mamas & Papas
Mamas & Papas started in 2003 as an independent, drop-in, parent-led discussion group for LGBT families. Our Family Coalition has served as the Fiscal Sponsor for Mamas & Papas in recent years.
Mamas & Papas has now become a project of Our Family Coalition which offers us mutual benefits and opportunities that will improve cooperation and visibility of our mutual programs, improve our outreach to the diverse LGBT family community, and more efficiently use resources in both organizations.

Expand your circle of LGBT parents, swap parenting tips, and explore concerns shared by all parents as well as those of special interest to our families. Help your kids build lasting friendships with other children growing up with LGBT families. Each month Mamas & Papas hosts parent-led discussion and activity groups for LGBT parents with kids 0-8 years old.
All groups including childcare are free. For free childcare, RSVP to Julia at 415-981-1960 or

Families with kids 0-5 yrs:
When: 2nd Saturday of each month. Free childcare and kids activities begin at 9:30am, Adult discussion begins at 10:00am

When: 4th Saturday of each month. Informal parent-child playgroup. 10am to 12noon.
Where: Eureka Valley Recreation Center 100 Collingwood at 18th, San Francisco.

I'm surprised tons of people haven't already jumped on this opportunity! ;) As some of you know, we've done this with a family for years now and it's been great. We might consider doing it sometime with someone else, if this gets going. It's a wonderful way to get a break once in a while, allow adults "quiet" time together or even just catch up with things, as well as promote time for the kids with other kids from LGBT parent families.
